Pitch Night 2023 - Hidden Aces

Pitch Night is a yearly event created by students from the third year advertising cohort, where graduating students get the chance to present their work and pitch themselves to the industry. It is an opportunity for students to showcase their talent, discuss their ideas and network with industry professionals.

As the Marketing Coordinator I oversee all the marketing involved for the event. This includes email marketing, socials and any other sort of direct marketing. I work closely with the social media team to ensure that posts and community engagement runs simultaneously on all platforms. I assist in ideas for content, direction of posts needed to make the grid look cohesive and captions.

It's also my responsibility to populate the Pitch Night website and make sure everything is organised and runs according to scheduled dates.

I created a social media plan that had content scheduled for the whole semester leading up to the event (3 months). I worked weekly with the social media team, art directors and copywriters to make sure posts were ready for publish and coincided with other marketing assets like emails.
Goals for the social media this year included having more engaging content, reach a larger audience and get noticed by agencies and other creators in the industry.
